I love how this circles around to the same feeling – the same sentence. The wonderfully interesting aspect is that the narrator could almost be anyone: family, friend, lover – the only clue as to what the relationship was between the two is the phrase “betrayed my heart,” signifying a broken romance – but it doesn’t have to be. Bittersweet and brilliant. I love it.
my oh my, what hurt in your words… sharp and poignant and to the point. Relentless in its attack. I don’t know why but this is probably going to stay with me… I admire how much you make me hate every bit of it, like it’s being said to me the reader, and how much I feel like I need to defend myself. Extremely personal although not exact. Strong, powerful, judgmental. Excellent writing.
