He didn’t dare pick up the phone. How could he ruin this moment of bliss. He looked down on the bloody body. It’s abdomen carved out, intestines laying next to her legs. He was proud of his work, unlike the other bodies, this one was done right.

What now? What could he take with him? He picked up his coffee mug and used it to scrape up some blood from the open abdomen. It was still warm, just the way he liked it. He sipped it, trying to savor every sip. Her blood was slightly sweet with an iron like after taste.

He knelt down beside her after finishing his bloody drink. He pulled her hair from her face and put it behind her ear. He gazed into her terrified still eyes, the last expression of her lifeless face. He knew she was special the first time he saw her.
