Time to Think

Present Day
The lights went on blinding me for a second.
“Is that all the contact you have had with Patrick?” the voice asked, “Not including the fights.”
“Yes” I said.
“Very good.” The two men came out and unhooked all the wires and cables that connected me to machinery.
“Thank you for your time, you may go. We’ll be in touch.” I sat there for a second not knowing what to do. I got up and walked out of the room. I wandered the hallways for what seemed like forever. I had no idea how to get out of here. Finally I just gave up and walked up the stairs to the roof. I liked coming out here by myself. It gave me time to think, and I really needed to think at the moment. I walked to the edge of the building and stood there, looking out at the city and the stars.
