This read very smoothly – skipped along at a nice pace. I was about 3/4 of the way through when I picked up on the rhyming scheme.

Foul gossips, wrecking their words on the absent. grrrrrrrrr

Use tags to the fullest! They are your ever constant friends, and will tell us whatever you bid them to about your writing.

The final lines of this poem are so true, and so artfully written. The mere fact that is begins with “They say” is indicative of their perceptions and not the one being gossiped about.
