That was odd. The feel works for me, as he is in sort of a loose place, walking and considering the sweater. Some gaps, like I would have liked a hint or two why he would pick up and wear a dirty sweater, and the murder by car at the end seemed to come out of nowhere. Matters of taste really, and kind of rambling myself here in this comment…so I shall stop.
