“They held each other tightly and tightly shut their eyes.” This line just reads so well in the face of everything they’re about to endure. It threw the reader into the action there at the end, but a second read really painted the scene.

HOLY QUACK.

I was a bit weirded out when you started saying how they laughed, cried, all that jazz, and then it grew apparent that they were doing it for a valid reason.

But ignore that rambling. It’s a fiver.
