Very intense and scary. A few missteps that make it a little hard to follow. The sentence about the symbols swimming in his mind and the “infinitely small” space stand out. Just a matter of keeping the descriptions of your bizarre landscape consistent enough to remain imaginable by the reader. Aside from that, the sense of fear and futility still comes through nicely.
