i don’t think the moon would know a rope, but you can use description to let us know what it is without saying ‘a rope’. I have no idea what to say about the breaking into pieces…
Does it have anything to do with Bruce Almighty? Minus the disintegration, of course.
I think it would actually be quite beautiful and change the psychology of future generations if pieces of the moon orbited the earth.
The sky would be full of shooting stars, and what little pieces that remained in geosynchronous orbit would filter the sunlight, and add a new dimension to the starlit night sky.
I agree with Jim, especially regarding the beginning.
Interesting sort of surreal piece. I have no problem with the fantastical elements of a rope pulling the moon and such. I’m also interested to see if all of your pieces tie in with your name, “Iamthemoon.”
However, if you corrected just a few mistakes, like “complants” to “complaints” and “where fates” into “where the fates” or “where fate” and also split the piece into paragraphs, it would have flowed better for me.
