Forever & Always: Part 3
Brie couldn’t help but grin with glee for me as we lay in bed at close to two in the morning that night. Movie night had been a huge success. I had gotten exactly what I wanted and Brie had helped every step of the way.
I was giddy over Ashton and the kiss. I just still couldn’t believe it had all happened – and so quickly. I had only started to like him less than a month ago. But it wasn’t like I wasn’t going to embrace it.
“Tell it again,” Brie grinned as she stared at me in awe.
I giggled and let out a happy sigh, “Again?”
“It’s just such a perfect story to tell! Aren’t you happy?” she said.
“Of course! Beyond happy,” I rolled over onto my back from lying down on my side facing her.
There was a pause and the night was quiet. I could hear the crackling of the fire outside on the street, courtesy of Brie’s brother, Ryder, and his two friends, Adam and Chad.
“Do you think he’ll ask you out?” Brie asked finally. I had been waiting for that question.
“I don’t know,” I answered honestly, “I hope so.”
