A prologue here, but well wrought. I like the first half, it’s personal and we can relate to it, but the second half begins to throw many ideas at us at once. battlefield, losing Tao, separation from her brother, human feelings.. are they babes or prodigies? is this a new 19 year old body?
“Angel’s Fall” points to the idea that higher powers sent a guiding force back into the world in the form of these characters. Taken that way, you could construe that the bodies are “new.”
Interesting how humanity in all its imperfection has a way of rubbing off on people.
