The Eye of the Storm: A Solemn Beginning (Part 1)
Ambar dicked around with the transmitter trying to get a signal. He had purchased the newest technology of the era—the portable AM/FM radio.
“Mother fuck,” riddled off his slick Indian tongue as the he wrestled with the wiry antenna. “God damn British fuck-ups…piece of shit…”
I’ll spare you the obscenities. Ambar was irate and rightly so: his Christmas gift from his step father, British government official Rodney Candycane, had yet to work for more than a few seconds.
“Time to try the Russian method.”
Ambar worked himself into a rage. He began smashing the radio which incidentally and amazingly began working.
“A state of Martial law is in effect until you are notified otherwise. You are ordered to remain inside during the hours from 7:30 PM to 5:00 AM.”
