Just wondering, if ‘the creature had no face’, how did they know where the chin was?

I loved this gem. New creature, mystery as to the legend of thier origins. I also like that we don’t know until later that this creature has them captive.
My only beef is that you don’t say Jessica’s name earlier when she snaps at the guy but mention it later.
