Captain’s log: 55-45-12-90-something
A Federation officer went missing on the planet Oregonia and is presumed dead. I am leading an away team down to the surface to find the officer and bring his remains back to Earth for a proper funeral.

Unfortunately Starfleet did not give me a working transporter, something about it would be ready next Tuesday (If I had a bar of gold press latnum for every time I heard that) and there is a bad ion storm in the area where the officer went missing, so we cannot safely take the shuttle in. We will have to land some distance away and hike our way in. I’m sure glad it is summer time on Oregonia, so it should be a nice walk for my away team and I. Unfortunately there is a Klingon away team also trying to find the body.

We landed the shuttle and the four of us started our journey…
