Together Alone
We wandered in search of our goal,
And in sunlight our path always shone.
Through mountain and forest we stole,
Across plain and ravine, us alone.
We sought to restore what was lost,
By the fear of a fate left untold.
So abandoning thought of the cost,
We went, in the rain, in the cold.
We entered the temple of lore,
And placed her on altar of stone,
In a land from the ages before,
A voice gave a task of his own.
For his promise to send back her life,
We agreed to the spirit’s employ.
For her sake, we will seek these colossi.
All alone, just a horse and his boy.
