OK, so I’m commenting on these so rapidly because I’m basically refreshing the Ficly front page to stave off work-related boredom.

And now I’ve got this little tear creeping out of the corner of my eye. Telling my colleagues it’s allergies.

Beautiful view on what some may call just a pet. Very nice characterizing descriptions.

Oh … it’s one of those stories. The kind that I say aren’t going to affect me, but really they do. I don’t think I like you any more.

Everyone’s affected by sad animal stories! Even lame ones. This is actually the piece I’m least happy with, all told, but I was endeavoring to write a piece that didn’t leave any questions or need for continuation. You know, something complete in and of itself.

A story that is complete in and of itself within the character limit is, in my estimation, among the best things I can find on the site. It’s so hard to do.

The fact it has an emotional kick is gravy.

The italics on “still” make it too heavy-handed, break the mood.

The tense in the last sentence is inconsistent.

A good dead dog story. Easy, cliche, cheap, but I love it.

I’ve been planning my own. You’re all going to hate me for it.
