This story is a ficly recreation of a 25 handwritten (on notebook paper) page story I turned in for extra credit in fifth grade to Miss Brooks at Schneider Elementary School.
She was impressed and took me downstairs to read it to a sixth grade english class. That afternoon, two sixth graders beat me up on the way home from school, presumably for being a wise guy.
I subsequently declined all future read-alouds outside my own classroom. :)
This is absolutely beautiful! The ingenuousness of youth inspires the greatest of writers. I loved the slingshot solution at the end. Plus, your commentary is priceless.
I agree with nagi, fantastic imagination! Haha. Reminded me of those old cartoons where the character pulls random stuff out of their seemingly not-there-three-seconds-ago pocket. Very funny! Thanks for participating.
