‘the boy’ is romeo.. took me asec, cuz pockets was ‘a boy’ too. I thought you were adding another character.. this twist is good. It reminds me of when you grow up in a household that believes one thing, and during your formative years, meet someone who blows your mind and you begin to dance with the ‘enemy’.

Enjoyable dialogue and flow. A mysterious character is always a great hook, for me!

Intriguing interaction. I didn’t quite follow how the random sign he picked up actually matched his predicament, but maybe that’s cause I didn’t read the one before it. I like the feel of it, really worked well with this semi-random joining of forces.
