pretty noir feeling with the fog and the mystery.. Kinda gross too, her gutting. It had to be something that would stick with him though, to make him retire. I think it may stick with me.. I hope this doesn’t show up in my dreams!

This story fits the challenge theme very well. It’s very dark, hazy, and foggy and has a “lack of color”, indeed! Except for the pea soup, but that’s a bland, drab color besides. Good job.
