Bob, this is a fun little story. And it’s most definitely a “crime of passion”. Your ending is great, a bit cliché but fitting. However, it doesn’t meet the challenge’s requirements. I believe you had to end the story with a particular line. I don’t enjoy reading a story and knowing what the last line will be, so it was a pleasant surprise that you didn’t do that. I suppose you should have though.

I thought the last line was good too, it fit the story much better than what the challenged wanted. It’s hard to tell how the story is going to end when you’ve only started. So I’ll let that sl_iiiii_de.
