Masterful redirection. You had me ‘till the twist, then dragged a laugh out of me when I realized I’d been had.

This is a craftsman level ficly and worthy of both praise and a wry smile of admiration.

I have to agree with Bob. A bit of a cop out vs a twist, but nicely done all the same. I liked the ‘training montage’ line at the beginning about running, jumping, pushing up, pulling down, etc. That worked well.

This is a knockout presentation! The revelation of our hero being a heroine is subtly sweet where as the steel-toe boots and the flew into action paragraph is audaciously done.

I see that you are new to the land Ficly, so let me welcome you and your exquisite writings to our humble home. I am a newbie, too and have absolutely enjoyed the time and attention of all the great Ficleteers here, as will you. – Of this, I am sure.
