Gorgeous moment, full of great visuals and a casual sort of romance. I think it could have stood on the strength of the narration without the cliffhanger ending, but that does present more of a possible story continuation.
This is an exquisite exposé into the world of a student of art. It is very well done, indeed. Ah, so the canvas on which you paint is far grander then you wish to reveal, and so we are left waiting with insatiable appetite, as a mite longing for a morsel.
I do suggest, nevertheless, that the last “release” in the second paragraph be something other than the first “release”. Perhaps it should read as a “freeing” or a “liberation” of sorts? But of course, you are the maestro and I am but an amateur.
