Great use of color imagery to set the scene, and I love how it all gets wiped out in the blink of an eye when the computer crashes just as he is coming close to completion of his project. I’ve certainly been there a time or two.

Funny twist at the end, if I read it correctly. Really worked well, I thought, the depth of his involvement and commitment to the project relayed in the richness of the writing—it gives not just the scene but how invested he is in it.

A few missteps, just need an apostrophe for master’s, and ‘robed’ instead of ‘robbed’.
