Dear Daddy,

For the past 30 years you have been one of the most important people in my life. I have always looked up to you as a role model and you have made a lot of positive influences in my life.

You were there when I took my first steps.
You saved the day when I failed my math exam and mom threatened to ground me for life.
You came to my rescue when I was wrongly accused of bullying a classmate in elementary school.
You gave up everything and gave us a better life by moving the entire family to Canada.
You taught me how to ride a bicycle and kick boys’ asses when they are out of line.
You have always been there when I needed the support or when I’m lost.

I have always looked up to you and I trusted you 100%. We’ve had our disagreements and misunderstandings. But we’ve always been able to put those behind us. I thought you would treasure your family, but I guess I was wrong.
