Was it Penny who sent the men after him or some other as yet unknown character? I like this series very much and hope it continues. The only thing that threw me off was the “electronic rotary”. I didn’t think phones used rotary anymore. A little distracting for me.

He lay silent, around the corner and perched upon a fire escape’s grated, lower landing; listening. I loved this sentence. Maybe just because I love hanging out on fire escapes :)
