On to the rest then. I love your word choices. The specific words you choose – “ambled” was the first that popped out at me – really paint the details in a way that I feel like I’m there. And now that I know what they are, I feel like I can taste the candy :)

Short list – This piece was one of the more evocative ones. You used great description to drag the reader kicking and screaming into the moment. I, as a challenger, love description and emotion in entries, and this was rich with both.
