Brutal. Whole reads like a girl-power, nigh-unto-exploitation style bit of fiction. It’s that uber-powerful woman totally and completely getting one over the powerful male thing, I guess. Nothing wrong with that, just a definite feel in that direction, like the tale is meant to be or could be taken as cathartic.
