He stood there. Motionless, frozen like a block of ice. He gripped the weapon tightly with his hand. What had he done? A feeling of dread fell over him. But it quickly turned into joy. A smile came across his face. Which turned into laughter.
She lay there, still. Her expression was neutral, and her long dark hair softly lay in a spiral. Her face was cold to the touch and her skin was pale. It would almost look like she’s sleeping. Apart from the fact she wouldn’t wake up, no. She would never wake.
The man made no attempt to cover up her body. Instead he grinned and climbed back in his car, which was an Cadillac Sedan DeVille. He stared at her for a short moment, then accelerated off.
“Jayden, you’ll be late for work again”
Jaden shuffled. then remained still. He lay there for a minute, then forced himself up. Rays of light flooded the room, Jayden rushed downstairs fully clothed and swung his leather jacket on. Then rushed out the door, not attempting to make breakfast.
