Amusing little take on an assassination run poorly. We only ever see the super slick version in movies, so this made for a fun change.

What I like about this piece is that you get the sense of been there done that boredom we all have when talking about our jobs. Even the manning a weapons platform gig zxvasdf is heartbroken over not having.

I was afraid this was going to be some melodramatic, navel-gazing badass. Instead, it completely busts on the stereotypes and tropes. Great stuff!

Always good stuff, sir. That’s a rather precise weapons platform, to be able to pick off a single individual in a crowd. Not your normal stereotype for something generally designed to take out a city or a large, space-faring vessel.

I read something in Hyperion by Dan Simmons about Col Fehdman Kassad appropriating satellite microwaves to fry the chipset brains of terrorists. It’s an awesome and frightening concept.
