This is very clever. We are characters on the onionpaper sheaf of reality.

I am happy, and that is all that matters.

This reminds me of the Great Hall in Harry Potter.

Really, everything could be like this. We all see things completely different, but because we see the same things differently, we can all identify them as the same thing. Wouldn’t that be awesome?

I really like this, and I think it fits in perfectly with the house.

If I were to make a recommendation, I would suggest adding more examples of places the dining room could look like. Maybe your favorite diner where you would eat lunch when you had your first job, or your parents’ house when you were in college.

Cthuluburger, I would if I could, but alas the 1024 characters were strained enough as it was. I had referenced even more exotic locations and times, but I had to make some drastic cuts to make it all fit.

If anyone wants to sequel this story, feel free! Maybe you could even say how you (or your character) would perceive the Dining Room.
