The POV shows such an open-mind & optimism. Like he/she has really done some thinking.

This could read either as the end of a relationship or the end of a friendship – I’m not sure which you had in mind when writing it, but I was reading it as two close friends parting ways due to some sort of fight, disagreement, betrayal… Unfortunately, way too many teen friendships end because of stuff like that. Including some of my own.
