The challenge page describes the British restoring “the ancient cultures of Greece and Egypt”. I wasn’t sure if that meant literally restoring the Ancient Egyptians and Greeks, but I thought that that would be the most interesting interpretation.
Interesting, at first I thought Gyppo was referring to gypsies until I realised it had to be Egyptians instead.
Interestingly, the word ‘gypsy’ actually comes from Egypt – in their ignorance, medieval people thought that the gypsies came from Egypt. But yeah, it is a little confusing. I wanted a racial pejorative that would be recognisable, and gyppo was the only one I could come up with.

Oh ok, that makes sense now. I hadn’t really caught that. My suggestion would be to place it in the tags to let people know.
Reading back over it, all my references that made it clear he was Egyptian got cut out when I tried to get it down to 1,024 characters! I’ve tried to slip a reference to pyramids in there and I think your suggestion about tags is a good one.

Ah, all is clear with the comments section. For some reason, I skipped over the pyramids reference and somehow thought you were trying to tie gypsies to egyptian pyramids and such.

I thought it was perfectly clear what with references to camels and pyramids and the character’s name being Set who was one of the Egyptian gods.
