“Our only likeness is that we our venom could be stolen from us.”
What does this sentence mean?
Also I don’t get the story in general. The masochism thing feels vaguely forced, plus everyone knows that all people who attend masquerades are masochists. I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be masochism in a traditional, sexual sense, or what.
The last line is out of nowhere, it doesn’t make any sense in the context of the story, and feels pretty damned cliche.
There are some other grammatical problems too, just ones of which I can draw some semblance of sense and read through.
