Wishful Thinker
Wishful thinker
 With playful thoughts
 Imagination is all I got
The charm I cradle in my hands
 The apple of my eye
But no one can see it but I
 It grows and it shimmers
 It evolves and it shines
It breaths, feels, smiles and cries
I offer a love stronger and new
I offer my heart it’s cracked and used
Often misguided and a little abused
But it can do the job right
 When dedicated and true
Held between me, God, and you
 Your hearts on loan
 It’s in pieces, in war
I can’t be angry or mean or sore
 I’m a wishful thinker
 And I’ll stay a float
Sink and I’ll swim, find another boat
 Though you’ll be a legend
Waving on in schools of fishes
Egging on my wonderful wishful wishes
