Ouch, that was brutal. This is why we train our soldiers to act quickly, avoid all this messy thought process. Interestingly enough, forensic studies of battlefields from several major wars show evidence of large numbers of soldiers intentionally firing high. Thought processes like these probably played a part.

I like the thoughts rolling through his mind as he decides whether or not to take a life. Kill or be killed.
