“Thanks for bringing this to our attention,” Sara’s dad sighed on the phone, while absentmindedly sifting through a stack of bills.

“Of course,” replied Arnold’s father.

“I just don’t know what to do about these kids.”

“It’s just a phase,” Arnold’s father reassured him. “Remember how we used to play Battlestar Galactica when we were their age? You were Starbuck as I recall.”

“Don’t remind me. The other day, Sara told me Starbuck is a girl.”

Arnold’s father laughed. “I suppose it’s bad enough that your first name is—“

“Lesley!” Sara’s mother cried out.

Sara’s father dropped the phone and ran upstairs. He found his wife frantic and trembling outside Sara’s room.

“I went to check on Sara,” she explained, in tears, “And she’s gone!”
