I found this surprisingly emotional. A sort of metaphor for when the world expects you to conform to their standards. Like when the deaf were forced not to use sign language and people with a stutter were expected to get over it easily.
Not to mention when left handed people were forced to learn to write with their right. :) Okay not so great an example as Jonathan’s. What a horrible test you’ve created! Poor traumatized kid.
