“Our men are everywhere. We own this building. It’s only a matter of time until you are caught.” Barbara flinched as Jacqueline adjusted her hold on the knife. “No wait- don’t!”

“I don’t want to hurt you, Barbara, but if your people find me, then you’ll be the first to die. I won’t hesitate to slit that pretty little throat before fighting my way out. “Fine, he’s in the Penthouse.” Barbara pouted. “But I don’t believe you about Daddy, he-”

“Shut it. You can hear the truth when we get to the top. If your family owns this place then you probably have a private elevator.”

Jacqueline leaned close. “You and I are going to take a little walk. If you call for help, you die. If you try to run, you die. If you do anything other than get me to the top, you die. Am I making myself perfectly clear?”

Barbara craned her head back and made a face. “You made it here and you were drunk?”
