Treason for Fun and Profit

Robert tossed the message into the fire with disgust. He had read the orders a dozen times in growing disbelief but the words never changed. The court was going to lose two of its most prominent knights after dinner. While he admitted to being a mite reclusive and not prone to carousing in public, Robert had fought at the side of both knights- and so had the King! They were unflinching in their support and couldn’t possibly be traitors… could they?

He sighed. There was much to think on. Perhaps sharing his doubts with another would provide some much needed clarity. If he could figure out a way to save Sir Bic and Sir Jon by proving their innocence, he… yes- plans had to be made. Careful plans.

A three prong approach would be best, starting with a discussion with the magician known by numerals rather than a proper name, then a plea to Lady Elshanor, followed by a back up plan with the unprounceable architect just in case.

It looked like tonight would be a delicate, dangerous game, but oh the rewards!
