No Recourse, No Remorse
Jhendayre’s face twisted at the threat. “I wanted you to understand exactly how serious I am.”
Ramar nodded toward Jhendayre’s bloody leg. “You’ve made your point at least three times over.”
“Then why won’t you teach me what I need to know.”
“Knowledge must be earned or it’s meaningless! Knowing how to do something is not the same as knowing when to do it. Your actions today tell me that you don’t understand the fundamental difference. You would have learned all of this had you stayed with me.”
“It wasn’t my choice to leave but it was my choice to return. If you won’t teach me then I’ll have to do everything in my power to force you to use the Shadowsplitter on me.” Jhendayre said with weary resignation.
“Whenever you are ready.” Ramar replied.
Jhendayre sank back into the neutral guard position and suddenly lunged forward, stabbing with deadly precision at Ramar’s heart. The older Eladrin barely moved his wrist. Swords met in a clash of steel and Jhendayre’s point was turned away.
“How about now?”
