One thing: Gilding is the process of applying a very thin layer of gold onto a base that is something other than gold. You could use the word ‘gilt’ or simply ‘gold’ unless your intent is something different.

Epic and hyperbolic to the maximum. So many awesome descriptions. I especially liked the vision of emerald eyes beneath the black mask with gold trim, and the overall feel of excitement you somehow injected into your intro. Legendary ;)
