I find the words “Coldness knocks” very powerful. I’m not sure that the rest of that sentence is as powerful. Like “Jesus wept”, any additional words drag it down.

I don’t know, I like the last stanza as is, I think the rest of the words nicely build to “coldness knocks.” Just my opinion. I love finding art on the streets, especially poetry. Illegal or not, there’s something romantic about it.

Cool little poem. You don’t often see the cold personified as having helped or unlocked anything. Nice twist in that, and the shape of the poem is cool too.

never usually think of coldness as sift-spoken.. that’s what spoke to me most. I do see now how it can be quiet and yet so numbing.

The other comments covered everything, pretty much… just want to iterate on THX’s comment. The shape is a nice visual for this particualar poem.
