Gives new meaning to the phrase “live free or die!” I like the detail, like that character and author can’t just chat… and the sparse nature of the conversation, not a word is wasted. I love this little series stemming from the challenge!

Haha, that was funny. Dark and tragic, and also kind of noble. It took me a minute to follow the unreality of it all, or the meta-reality? The something anyway. Very nicely done to wrap it up in a consistent sort of way.

This is beautiful and sad. It wasn’t at all what I thought would happen (which happens a lot with you ;) ), and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I thought of Alan Wake, of the author actively manipulating the story. The way the last line is so sudden adds to the effect.

Commentary: I’ve made some significant edits, all aimed at easing the language and making it more natural.

I had originally intended to sequel ‘Lil Krully’s piece, but I felt that what I wanted (imagery that wouldn’t leave me alone..) didn’t stay true to what Krully had done. So I’ll leave that for someone else to carry on.
