“Bring own pair of gloves.” That made this for me… I’m not even totally sure what this job is! Or what they’re screening people for, but I assure you, this is NOT a job that I would be good at. And asking the applicant to bring their own gloves… just makes it seem so normal. Not normal, but, you know. Like, oh, no big deal.

I see blood banks have been hit hard by the recession too.

It may be worrisome to know that I’ve actually seen “medical” job descriptions very similar to this one – yikes!

The “bring your own pair of gloves” isn’t as shocking to me as the “Must be willing to transport human tissue to specified locations” line – yuck!

Yep! I actually volunteer with the Red Cross, and this pretty much fits my job description, including transporting blood to hospitals and warehouses. I even included their phone number as a hint for anyone who wanted to check. :)

I agree that the “Bring your own gloves” line really makes the piece. A few sentences there seemed a little informal and didn’t ring true to me, but overall it was very enjoyable.
