That was adorable. I’m too tired to check your algebra…and frankly it’s been a long time since sophomore year of high school. Let’s just assume it’s correct and move on with the day. Great, great example of nerdy love done right.
Aaaarggh! I was really, really liking this and then I crashed into some errors. (Mathematics was my major in university.) In the 4th line, please divide by -7, not -7i. In addition, the ‘<’ in the last line should be a ‘>’ to be consistent with the previous statements. You’re going to want to change all of the ’>’s to ‘<’.
The third line got mangled by the use of HTML. If you want to space things properly, you can insert non-breaking spaces into your text. The text (or if the first one didn’t show up) will be translated into a non-breaking space when it’s displayed as a story. You can enter as many of them as are required to line things up the way you want. Other non-English characters can be entered in this way, but it may be hit or miss.
Apparently, it’s been a long time. I’m wrong about the inequality sign. It is correct as originally written, except that the line that reads “-7i/-7i > -21u/-7i” should also have ‘<’ rather than ‘>’.
This made me smile. Very creative! I love the fact that you turned this nerdy love note into a math problem, it goes one step further than what i had ever expected!
