First off, good to see you writing after a few months hiatus on ficly. This was good writing, but the subject is a little trite, and the trope-ish character didn’t stand out enough to overcome this. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country used shakespeare quotes to liven the plot.

Even though it’s an oft visited subject, I liked the piece. It had a nice, sci-fi sprawl to it, and the last line worked really well.

Couldn’t resist Krulltar’s suggestion to use Shakespeare quotes. You’ve got two spellings for the captain’s name, so I went with the latter of the two.

Tach Bach. Tach bech!

Yeah. Star Trek VI was in my mind.

But at least I didn’t invoke General Worf unnecessarily. Hehe
