That was depressing. I’m not sure I entirely followed the thought process, but the end in the same—sinking further and further into despair.

This feels very real in my eyes, with the dreams or thoughts of doing something different, but knowing that you’re gonna end up with that one fate.

Strange how most of us can only dream so much, depending on our starting point. He may think of it as dreaming big, such simple wants, considering where he’s coming from.

It’s not that sad, it seems like he made a go of it but couldn’t handle it. Maybe he just needs to dream smaller. Keep the girl but dream of the forty-first floor instead.
