this is amazing.
as it is, I love the word infinite because it’s a true statement.
I love how you describe how some people think through their life, I think my favorite line is “When I was sixty-eight, the future was frightening” this is really great to me and some people have different preferences but I like this a lot!

I generally don’t like poem ficlets, because poems have sacrificed rules for the sake of artistic expression, whereas ficlets are challenging in that they convey a story with economy. But, even i admit that this is powerful.
