Daisy Day

“What do you think they’d be saying, if they could talk?” Looking over the paddock, the girl squinted as she watched the animal shake her head with a flap of her ears before moving off. “Oh! She just had an argument with that other cow.” She pointed and bounced on the fence, making it shake a little and the man next to her grin at her enthusiasm. “Yeah? Maybe they’re fighting over the attention of a bull.” The girl laughed then, turning to sit on the fence and glance back over her shoulder. “Your udders are saggy!” She flips her short, blonde hair and grins. He chuckles and straightens, placing a hand on his hip. “All the bulls, they’re like, it’s better than yours! Besides, my milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard.”

She nearly toppled backward, she was laughing so hard, but he grabbed her ankle as she hung upside down on the fence for a moment. “Come on, Monkey. Your Mum probably wants help with setting the table.” Helping her up, the girl then lifts her arms and he turns to give her a piggy back.
