“I’ll go talk to him.”
Sue gave him a terrified look.
“He’s obviously not the Harron’s kid.” Could be the evil twin they’ve finally let out of their basement dungeon
Dan made his way downstairs as Sue followed. They said nothing because they didn’t want to wake their kids. Dan put on his boots that were lying next to the back door. Sue waited in the kitchen, which was at the back of the house, and watched through the window as Dan stepped out into the yard.
Dan found himself waving at the kid as he approached him. What the fuck am I doing? He walked right up to the boy.
“Can I help you?”
Up close he looked even more like the Harron’s dead son. Dan couldn’t remember their kids name. He hadn’t known the boy very well. He’d seen him around the block a few times and had nearly hit him with his car once when the kid had run out in front of him chasing after a ball.
The boy in his yard was so deathly pale he looked like he was suffering from exposure. He literally looked like the Harron’s dead child.
