The zombie apocalypse was, at first, thought to be the doom of humanity, but it was anything but. People driving away from cities managed to crush some zombies. The bugs and stray dogs managed to kill some. Granted, they were zombified, but only the dogs were threats. Who would be scared of a zombie fly?
Diseases and insects that have never been a threat to humans devoured zombies. The zombies decayed, and eventually they were vomit-like pools of goo. Hazmat teams were sent to clean it up, and eventually the country was cleaned up. All zombified animals were put down and treated like radioactive waste.
So, all in all, the zombie apocalypse didn’t divide the human race into kick-ass survivors and corpses. Who would have guessed?
